This was supposed to be for your safety and convenience once you entered the vehicle. The lights should turn off when you turn the ignition on. If not, then try adjusting the dimmer switch for the dash lights.
you either have a bad door switch, any of them could be bad. or you have the lights physically turned on at the switch.
Either the light switch is set to have the interior lights on or one of your doors is not closing properly (or at least the sensor thinks it isn't closed).
There is a switch for that. It is in the dash illumination brightness control switch.
If the interior lights of a 1991 Grand Prix SE remain on with both doors closed, the issue may be with the door switch. Check to ensure that the door switches are not stuck or malfunctioning; they are usually located in the door frame. You can also try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset the electrical system. If the problem persists, consider inspecting or replacing the door switches.
If your courtesy lights are staying on with the doors closed and there is no door ajar warning light , check on your dash to the right of your headlight switch. There is a dimmer wheel switch for your guage lighting , if it has been rotated all the way up that turns on your courtesy lights when the doors are closed
Either the manual light switch is on or the door switch is damaged.
no sears has not closed doors
If the inside lights of your vehicle won't turn off, it could be due to a faulty door switch that fails to signal when the door is closed. Another possibility is a malfunctioning light control switch or a problem with the vehicle's electrical system. To resolve the issue, check if all doors are properly closed and inspect the switches. If the problem persists, it's advisable to consult a mechanic or an automotive electrician for further diagnosis.
No,there is not a way to enter any building. Its not like that the doors are only closed for you but it is just a solid graphic that the building is there.Actually there is nothing inside the building.
Check parking/tailight fuse
check that all doors all closed tight and also that the door handles are not sticking in the "up" position. A little wd-40 fixes them. My lites stay on when thehandles are stuck.
I would check the wire harness and conectors to the doors because the poswer locks, windows, and mirrors are all conected through that harness.
