Add chlorine
You add water to the pool
If you have a salt water hot tub or pool, you shouldn't need to add any extra chlorine. I am the pool operator at our local YMCA and we have a salt system with a Chloromatic chlorine generating cell. Rarely do we add any extra chlorine, only in cases of decontamination and/or shocking. Bromine does do better than chlorine in higher temps.
Sea water contains a low concentration of bromide ion which is oxidised to free bromine Br2 by chlorine.

It is necessary because the chlorine kills all of the germs that enter the swimming pool.
go to the local market that you get chlorine at and pool shock. buy test strips that test the water's chlorine, and just add an extra chlorine tablet each time you add chlorine. if its still really low and not even close to the amount you may want to add pool shock
