They could enjoy the thrill of cheating and getting away with something, they could be unsatisfied with their partners and fulfilling their needs elsewhere, they could be stuck in a love triangle where they care for both men equally, they could be getting revenge, they could have been made to be with one guy by influence of their family/friends and cheating on him with the guy she likes, and so on.

That's a sexist context.
