Actually, there are employers who do not value their employees--regardless of color or creed. Kindness and respect are often in short supply. However, to be certain that his treatment of you is not in response to your behavior: make sure you are dressed professionally (clean, no wrinkles), arrive on time for your regular schedule, are doing the job as directed, are polite, ask questions when you need to, and so on. Learn what you can from the job and look for another on the side.
