It helps to be propererly stretched because the one wouldnt want to be stiff during dance. if all of your bones and joints are properly stretched, you move more fluidly, and are also warmed up for the coming physical activty. much like in sports, stretching is vital to attaining best results in performance, and safety.

How can I learn how to dance like on dance moms I want to learn how to dance like on the show dance moms without going to lessons I would like to be a lot more flexible Any stretches Videos?

Just sit in splits often and on your down time. Also, do stretches like putting your legs strait out and leaning forward. If you can't get all the way down, have somebody gently push you down. Just keep doing that to make you flexible. Glad I could help.

Why do you need to warm up before you dance?

Dance, like any other form of exercise gives you a great workout. Stretches and warming up helps prevent injuries. As my Wikianswer pal said dance is a exercise... I use to do break dancing and I didn't warm up and I didn't get hurt, but if you for example were doing ballet you really need to warm up or you may either twist or hurt you leg, back, arms and more....

What are some good stretches before jumping on the serve?

There is really no straight answer about names of stretches. I found the best stretches to before serving no matter if it is jumping or just using your arms and weight. The best thing is to stretch out your shoulders, arms, back and your legs. BUT THE ARMS AND SHOULDERS I FOUND OUT TO BE MOST IMPORTANT when stretching for serving. For actual stretching names and descriptions I would just go and search for shoulders and arm stretches. Squats and Lunges are good for the legs at the beginning of warming up.
