Humans are developed to breathe air by gas exchange in the lungs. We do not have the physical capability, like fish, to have a gas exchange with water.

Also, because your heart is pumping and you need a lot of oxygen for your blood. The same with any physical activity.
you drown because the water is going into your lungs and you cant braeth underwater unless you have gills
yes, because you can't breathe in water.
That is where it breathe in water and if you blew air into its gill you would drown it in air
We can't breathe water, but we need to drink it to hydrate and stay alive.
Yes land snails breathe air. so they can drown in water. Sea snails and fresh water snails breathe oxygen derived from water using gills so they can drown in air. I guess that the rate that they expire at is quite slow since their metabolism would be very slow.
Because we don't have gills. We have no way of converting water into oxygen. If you tried to breathe water, you would just drown.
No. If you have a mouse do not put it underwater or you will drown it. Mice breathe with their lungs just like humans.
Yes. Drowning means that you are plunged below water; and your mouth fills up with water and you can no longer breathe.
No. To drown the chicken would have to breathe.
Obviousley, the rabbit would drown. They cant swim nor breathe underwater.
Dolphins breathe air, so if they get trapped underwater they will drown.
Dolphins breathe air; they would drown if they never surfaced.
Kind of. Fish need to breathe water to get oxygen. If they can't breathe, or if the water has too little oxygen dissolved in it, the fish will die from lack of oxygen (I would say suffocate; you may say drown).
