Why do you feel sick when it is time to go to school?

(I feel sick before i go to school sometimes, not always though. Right now i feel like i am going to get sick but im going to go to school no matter what. My mom says that if i get sick at school then i can come home, and she never believes me and she always asks me these weird questions. But she always thinks i am faking it when i am not. i wish i could just stay home.)

A:Sickness might be described as a disturbance in the usual mental or physical functions.

The degree of this functional disturbance depends of the function itself; if it is reaching the level of causing a negative effect on your life, than you have to seek medical help.

If this functional disturbance is not caused by any pathological reason, and can be remedied by simple behavioral changes, then your recovery depends on your motivation, will, and ability to distance yourself of the causative or influencing factors.

1. Is it because some subject is on that particular day, and you might have some problems with that subject? If yes, you need someone to help you with this subject. Someone who can explain it to you the way you do understand. It is all right, if you do not understand some subjects. Nobody understand everything !
2. Is is because you have some issue with your teacher who teaches that particular subject? Teachers are peoples, and people are different. They speak differently, they behave differently. You might misunderstand your teacher, as he/she might be different from your favorite one. Your teacher might misunderstand you. He/she might think you are not interested in the subject.It might be a good idea, if you can approach this teacher for some help in understanding your subject- that way you get a good help, and your teacher sees that you are interested. How about that?
3. Could it be that you had some problems with some students the day before and you hesitate to front them the following day? It could happen, everybody met some bullies. You have to speak with someone you trust, and is ABLE to advise you SINCERELY, and WISELY. It is a serious issue, don't let it upset you. Confide in someone, preferably ADULT.

A:You could really be sick, you know. If you feel that way, you have to ask your parents to take you to the doctor. It is not right to go to school if you are sick. You would not be able to listen, learn, partake in your class activity. It, also, might make your symptoms worse over a time. It could be just something very easy to treat! So, why suffer unnecessarily?

Think, please, about those questions, and if you have thought about them, speak to your parents or your favorite teacher, someone you know would listen and take you seriously.

It might be anxiety but it's too general. Is it like this every day? Just today? It may be because you haven't eaten enough within the last 8 hours which causes stomach aches as well. It really isn't anything to worry about but if it continues to presist and it really and I mean really concerns you, go see your family doctor.
