ver the past decade, GPs have had to deal with increasing numbers of patients with a complaint for which there is no known cure: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Here two authors, one who has CFS, the other a Doctor Who has spent years helping sufferers, have combined their experiences to offer hope to the permanently exhausted.

Most people who are chronically tired or "Fatigued" have underlining issues that are causing fatigue. Many things that can cause fatigue are:

• Stress or Anxiety (Seek professional help if you believe you are suffering from either one)

• Depression or Feelings of Sadness (Seek professional help if you believe you are suffering from either one)

Diabetes (believe it or not, Glucose is a key ingredient in producing norepinephrine, which produces a hormone called melatonin, which is responsible for making us tired)

• Sleep Disorders (seek medical attention if you are staying awake more than 48 hours, after 48 hours, your body begins to deteriorate and within 72 hours of no sleep, your organ will begin to shut down, which leads to death)

Other problems are associated with Fatigue, which is a common side effect to starting new medications. If you believe you are fatigued often, schedule an appointment to see your doctor.
