I have a 2000 Mercedes S430 I recently replace the left rear shocks and the accelerator won't work when you press it down. the engine starts but with the accelerator pressed down the car will not move. the engine sound will not change. Please I need help to have an idea what I'm dealing with thanks.

If it is running that badly, then 1996 and up cars can be scanned for codes. Auto parts stores do it for free, some anyway. Try Advance Auto, they will.
