chances are you have a blown head gasket.....that's about the only thing that can cause an oil type substance in your radiator......check your oil fill cap and area where the cap goes for a white foamy or creamy substance, if this is there that's your trouble

2 Gallons of premix or 1 gallon of pure antifreeze when mixed with an equal amount of distilled water will be enough. Do not use tap water only use distilled water. Replace the thermostat at this time and flush the radiator. Be sure and bleed all air from the system. Inspect and replace any suspect hoses.

A couple of ways. 1. Someone put the wrong fluid in the wrong place. But since you wouldn't do that I would guess that the engine block has a crack in it. The water jacket has been compromised and the fluids changed place. Check your oil and see if there is a milky substance on the bottom of the dipstick. If there is, well sorry, seek out a qualified mechanic.
