Because they see something in you that you dont and they think that it is unique

It would be better to find a girl your own age. Crushing on a girl so young is not right when she is 12. ---- That may be so if you are trying to get serious. BUT. If you are JUST kissing her on the lips I think that's different. If SHE thinks that is okay and if her PARENTS and your parents think that's okay I think it would be fine. Would they totally explode if that happened? And What would they think of you kissing someone four years younger?
