The French and British had a lot of animosity for each other. The French thought that by helping the US defeat the British, it would get back at the British for the fighting in the French and Indian War, and the multitude of conflict in Europe over the previous 100 years.
France had been in an almost continuous state of war with England for most of the previous 300 years. Anything that reduced the power, prestige, and fortunes of the British Empire was considered good for France.
Since the American colonies were not a united entity, they did not have a capital. I suppose the closest thing to that would be London, the capital of the British empire.
The headless horseman is suppose to be one of the German mercenaries that the British sent with their armies in the revolutionary war: a Hessian.
I suppose they inherit it as a gene.
No, they are not. I suppose that The ("Americans " ) you are reffering to, are The United States of America "s citizens. I consider Americans all the people born in America which inculdes North, South and Central America. Different backgrounds for both, Americans and English, make them different people.
I would suppose the churches did.

During the revolutionary War (1775-1783) the British Army considered Americans to be cowards and acting in an un-gentlemanly manner, by deploying such tactics (guerilla warfare). Guerilla war was dirty fighting and un-civilized. Yes, it depends on which war is referred to. The Spanish Guerillos in the Peninsular war were a very big thorn in the side of the French invaders in the Napoleonic wars, aiding Wellingtons campaign more than the regular Spanish forces ever did. I suppose the Chindits of WW2 in Burma might well be considered Guerillas, against the Japanese. Guerilla is spanish for little war.
I suppose so. It provides an opportunity for the rest of the English speaking world to teach the Americans grammar and lighten their pockets.
At one point durning the revolution he was annoyed about the British taking American sailors off of American ships so he decided to sponsor a ship to take British sailors to trade for the Americans. The big mistake he made was the man he hired to captain the ship. The captain was only suppose to take British sailors and not booty. Instead he took booty and no sailors to trade. Franklin when he found out was angry and quit his sponsor of the ship. The Irish captain was arrested.
I suppose the USA launched itself with a revolutionary government. So did the Soviet Union. So did France.
