Many people believe we go inside the crystal during meditation to try channeling the energy out of it. Some people think crystals hold a special healing power.
There are many different meditation techniques. However, none of them involve thinking. The whole idea of meditation is to bring your energy to the "witnessing consciousness," which resides beyond the mind.
Such phenomena have no meaning. They are what the Japanese call a "makyo" which is a delusion or fantasy. When you notice makyo during meditation, simply let them go and go back to your practice. Do not get involved with them, attach to them, wonder about them, think about them, or fear them. Note them and return to your breath practice.
I think you are asking, "what happens to one's state of consciousness during a meditation hypnotic trance?" The phrase "meditation hypnotic trance" needs exploring. Meditation is *not* the same thing as hypnosis, and it does not induce a trance state. Meditation is simply the process of watching your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations.
To think something over.
In many forms of meditation you are actually aiming to not involve yourself in the experiences of meditation. Meaning you try to just watch rather than engage in what you are feeling.Other meditation techniques are aimed at specifically creating particular psychological or physical sensations, in fact these 'feelings' are one of the ways you are able to judge your stage of development.Any reliable meditation teacher should be able to give you guidance on what form of meditation delivers what kind of 'feeling'.The best general advice I can think of is no matter what arises during your meditation try not to take seriously.
I don't think it's bad, its a form of meditation.
As much as possible. Master meditators are always meditating! Of course, there is a limit to the amount of formal meditation you can do in one day. Whether you meditate for twenty minutes or two hours formally, the more you are able to do on a daily basis the more benefits you will enjoy. When you are not meditating formally, constantly strive to take the quiet, peaceful, attentive mind that you are developing during formal meditation into everything else that you do. This is what master meditators do. So do not think of meditation as just another daily task; instead, think of it as a way of living life.

Meditation. If you want to know a bit more about meditation, I suggest you read Ajahn Sumedho's 'Mindfulness - the Path to the Deathless'.
Meditation was around before buddhism was even founded. Anyone is welcome to practice meditation, whether you have a religion or not. It all depends on the choice of the person, meditation can be used as prayer, a time to think, empty the mind, etc... so if someone finds meditation useful for them they are welcome to use it. For the same reasons that buddhist's use it for or not. Hope that helped.
