If I wanted to be a Policeman or Policewoman then I'd be taking training for that job because I have a burning desire to help people in distress. I'd want to perhaps become a member of a Drug Squad with time and training under my belt or perhaps another aspect of Police Work interests me. It's no easy job being a cop. The pay is high but so is the divorce rate as you work long shifts, maybe in the begining you start off not drinking heavily, but most cops have drinking and or drug problems because of what they see while on the job. It is probably the least thankful job of all jobs. I think that the worst aspect of being a Police Officer is that when you leave home, it just might be the last time you see your wife and kids beause this is probably one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. Personally I wouldn't want the job of being a Policeman, it is you who asked the question, but if that's what you want to do in life. Good luck.
