If you are a teenager, you are not yet a man to the law, and nor should be to your family - you are learning to be a man. That means many things to many men - mostly it means who you will be/are now as a man, which is not the man next door, and not the man your father is. You are you, after all.
Cartoons are what you like to watch on TV - not a gauge of maturity, not what you are becoming from teenager to man. They are a part of your life, but so to are your family and friends.
Probably because you can still grow up and yet watch cartoons. Many adults like cartoons and still behave like adults.

This question is not clear enough to provide a meaningful answer. It might help if the asker could specify what is meant by saying that others are "mean." Is it a matter of needing to share television time, or a problem of others objecting to offensive cartoon content? The asker might need to examine his/her own feelings about the cartoons and try to consider how the friends and family perceive the situation.
A teenager might want to have a party with friends, go out to a fun activity or event, have a special dinner with family, or go on a trip or outing they've been looking forward to. Ultimately, it depends on the interests and preferences of the individual teenager.

The 1998 Nickelodeon show Oh Yeah Cartoons is a TV series for family. This show is for anyone regardless of age. I'm a teenager and I still watch Chalk Zone as it's own show and I watch the Fairly Odd Parents episodes from Oh Yeah! the medium of cartoon is a fantastic way to get life messages across to kids, and an easy way to spark their imaginations also, as cartoon characters are free, you can defy the laws of gravity and do anything you want to do! However there are cartoons/animated shows that are definitely not for kids, with adult humour, obscenities, nudity and recreations of things kids wouldn't have even heard about. An interesting thing about most adult cartoons also, is that they give life messages that we can all learn from. Some shows that immediately come to mind are 'SouthPark' and 'Family guy'. on top of this, it's not what you watch that makes you a man, it's what you do.
