Your chance to hit is partially based on your character's skill with that weapon. You will find that they will miss a lot initially while they have low skills, but using that weapon will train it, even misses count. So eventually they will start to hit more often.

∙ 12y agoTheir weapon skill is probably low - each character has a skill bar and a skill leve for each class of weapon (sword, spear, etc). Frequent use of those weapons will improve the skill, you just have to keep using those weapons until their skills raise.

Final Fantasy X-7? no. there is Final Fantasy 10-2 which is the sequel to Final Fantasy 10 (and is the only actual sequel in all of the final fantasy games) and there is Final Fantasy 7, but there is no Final Fantasy x-7. the games may be made by the same people but do not relate to each other in anyway other then the fact they are Final Fantasy.

How do you avoid getting hit in Final Fantasy?
There are 2 ways you can dodge attacks: By Shield and by Luck. Equip your character with a shield item (if they can) every now and then when they get attacked they will block using their shield. Having Luck increases your chances to evade attacks in the older final fantasy's in the newer ones their is an Evasion Stat that you can increase by certain means.
