"Et tu, Brute?" means, "You too, Brutus?" Brutus was a favourite of Caesar, "Caesar's angel", who was even named as a contingent beneficiary in his will. Caesar has seen all of the other conspirators stab him, but last comes Brutus, who he did not expect to betray his trust and love. As Antony says, "This was the most unkindest cut of all."
Brutus was a protégé of Caesar, and was considered to be one of his closest friends. That is why Caesar said "Et tu, Brute?" (What? You too, Brutus??) when Brutus stabbed him, and why Antony calls Brutus Caesar's angel.
On the contrary, it is Brutus who wants to leave Antony alive. He thought that if Caesar were dead, Antony would not be of any significance. Bad call.
In Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, Marc Antony called Brutus and Cassius honorable men.
There are quite a few famous quotes from Shakespeare. Some of the most famous are Juliet's line "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" from Romeo and Juliet, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" from Hamlet, "Et tu, Brute?" (latin for "and you, Brutus?") from Julius Caesar, and of course, "To be, or not to be, that is the question" which is also from Hamlet.

Brutus is concerned about Caesar as a result of Cassius's arguments. He thinks he's ambitious but has not really seen it. He believes that if Caesar became more powerful he would become more and more tyrannical, and it was necessary to stop him before things got that far.
Brutus honestly believed he was doing nothing but what was the best for Rome. He puts Rome above his loyalty to Caesar. "Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more" (Act 3, scene 2, 23-24) Brutus is a well loved and worthy Roman. "Oh, he sits high in all the people's hearts" (Act 1, Scene 3, 157). This quote is said by Casca which makes us truly appreciate Brutus as Casca is not easily impressed. Brutus k"ills himself at the end of the play as he believes it is his punishment for the horror he has brought upon Rome. He realises his mistakes. This leads Antony to call him "The noblest Roman of them all
Because he wanted the people, audience to feel equal to him. Whereas Brutus made them feel like they were on a lower social class than him. Mark Antony wanted to connect to the people emotionally in order to influence them the way he wanted.
Mark Antony was not left alone with the body of Caesar. He fled Rome dressed as a slave because he was afraid that the conspirators would also target Caesar's supporters as well. He returned to Rome when he saw that this did not happen. He incited the crowd to turn against the assassins at Caesar's funeral. Julius Caesar's body remained on the floor of the Theatre of Pompey unattended for nearly three hours before officials arrived to remove it. Most of the assassins fled after their deed. Brutus and his friends went to the Capitoline Hill to shout "Rome is free." People's first reaction was to hide in their homes because they were afraid that more trouble was to follow.
