Then it is lacking in fuel, air or compression. Most commonly- fuel. If the injectors are not squirting fuel into the cylinder, it will not start. In very cold weather diesels may require an electric glow plug (part of the engine) to get started.
I do not have a answer for it, do you an answer for this problem?
Could be for a number of reasons. A proper diagnosis is required to narrow it down.
Did you prime the fuel system after changing it?
your ingine will make a sound and then wont start or turn over,
You still need a key to enter a smart or hybrid car. What you do not need to start the engine in the same way as for a petrol or diesel engine. What you will need to do is enable the power on button in a smart car with the key to start the electric motor in the smart car.
if it wont crank the the starter is probally out but if it cranks and the motor doesnt turn either the belt is to loose or the engine is locked up
Does it have spark, fuel, compression?
The term 'dead engine' is usually meant to refer to an engine that wont start. The symptoms are that the engine does not start, the starter might turn it over, but that is it. No firing, no backfiring, the engine is effectively 'dead.'
It would depend on what's wrong but the main question is gasoline or diesel? After that, what are the model year, model, and engine size?
Bad starter or weak battery.
The engine wont run because the octane count of diesel is lower compared to the octane count of gasoline. Diesel has a different method of combustion and the spark of spark plug is not enough to fire a diesel engine.
may be a bad starter..... or if the engine is cranking with no start it could be the ignition wires
