In the original Greek text, nothing is capitalized. There is also a complete lack of punctuation. This is one of the reasons there have been so many various translations. Any valid translation will use a consensus of many scholars in determining where these devices should be, as they can effect meaning.

EXAMPLE:

Spirit - The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of God

spirit - The Spirit of Man
