Why does Islam objectify women instead of treating them as complete people?

Who is saying this? If one believes this they do not know Islam, and it's respect for the women.

Muslims main source of the practices and teachings of the religion come from the Qur'an, so lets see what the Qur'an has to say:

The Qur'an mentions about women: "O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will, and you should not treat them with harshness..." (Surah Nisaa (The Women) (Their is even a whole chapter named after the Women (Surah An-Nisaa) Chapter 4 Verse 19)

Women and Men are treated Equally in Islam, and this can be shown through this verse in the Qur'an where Allah (Arabic for God) mentions both the men and women;

"Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh in Islâm) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islâmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allâh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and the women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allâh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allâh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord Allâh), the men and the women who give Sadaqât (i.e. Zakât, and alms), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadân, and the optional Nawâfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allâh much with their hearts and tongues. Allâh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). (35) It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in to a plain error. (36)" (Surah 33: Verse 35-36)

Whenever Allah Mentioned the Male he also mentioned the Female this is to show the equality.

The women in Islam has the highest status, just take for example the mother

just look at this incident:

A man came to the Prophet Muhammad and said, "O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship?" The Prophet said: {Your mother.} The man said, "Then who?" The Prophet said: {Then your mother.} The man further asked, "Then who?" The Prophet said: {Then your mother.} The man asked again, "Then who?" The Prophet said: {Then your father.}

This shows that the mothers status is higher than the fathers status in Islam, according to another narration one can never re-pay his mother for the pain she felt while giving birth to him/her.

One of the greatest Islamic Scholars was Aisha (May God be Please with Her) she was the wife of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) majority of the practices (Sunnah) of Islam where transferred from her to the people.

Whoever made this stupid claims are either just trying to make up stuff to slander the religion or clearly don't know what they are talking about.

Look buddy Your telling me I'm lying? I go to the masjid everyday and in the masjid weekly we have something called a Bayaan (Meaning lecture) about Islam by scholars and it's teachings and this stuff is exactly what they say in the Bayaan's that Islam teaches equality between the female and male; Your not asking this question to get an answer your just trying to slander the religion and it's not working the TRUTH is the truth, I can't change the teachings of the religion nor can anyone; If Islam teaches equality between women and men, then Islam teaches equality between women and men; I can't change it wheter you like it or not.

Islam has a fundamentally patriarchal view about the roles of men and women in society. The best way to understand this is the concept of "different but equal" in contrast to the Western view of "same and equal". According to Islam, men and women have distinct functions. It is the man's job to provide for his family, to shelter his wife, to avenge family grievances, and to labor under whatever deplorable conditions necessary to secure a good life. It is the woman's job to run the household, pleasure her husband, and rear the children. Both lives are very hard and demanding. With today's society, however, more and more women want to have the man's role instead of Islam's traditional female role. The traditional role is, therefore, cast as a negative, such as objectification in order to discredit it.
