Anyone can have a seizure in their lifetime at some point, but it is only people that have lots of them that are diagnosed as having epilepsy. So if taking oxycontin caused someone to have a seizure and then they never had one again, they would not have epilepsy and so saying that oxycontin can cause epilepsy is not really accurate. It is more accurate to say that it can cause seizures.
