Obama, Obama, Obama! He said so! From, My Moon.
Ray ban 3217 -San
No.
This is because Obama is now presedent and he once tried to ban all ammunition sales in his state before he was president.
It is still legal to smoke tobacco, although not in all locations. Obama has introduced no new law to ban smoking.
He does not have the authority to ban it on his own. Also, he supports it.
no
Probably not. First, it depends on what is in the executive order, but it is doubtful that any such order will fit the definition of "high crimes and misdemeanors" or be an example of treason. It is also not clear that the president will sign a "gun control" order. While he does want to reinstate the assault weapons ban or the ban against clips that hold 30 bullets (and some polls indicate the public agrees), there is little evidence that Mr. Obama plans to impose a broad ban on guns. That said, the gun issue is very contentious, and as a result, no matter what the president does, one side or the other will be upset. But the fact remains that presidents sign executive orders all the time, and as a former professor of constitutional law, it is doubtful that President Obama would sign any order that violated the constitution.
No, President Obama may not wish to do such a thing and Congress would never let such legislation pass as it is unconstitutional. Even if he used executive action, the American public would never comply with this.
President Obama wants to reinstate gun bans that have lapsed (Illinois Senate Debate #3: Barack Obama vs. Alan Keyes 10/21/04)President Obama on a questionnaire endorsed a ban on all handguns. (Independent Voters of Illinois/Independent Precinct Organization general candidate questionnaire, 9/9/96 Politico, 3/31/08)President Obama voted (US Senate vote) to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sporting shooting. (US Senate, S. 397, vote 217, 7/29/05)President Obama voted to allow the prosecution of people who use a firearm for self-defense in their homes. ( Illinois Senate, S.B. 2165, vote 20, 3/25/04)
very soon obama will remove the ban over ltte
Because it doesn't exist. This is a popular internet myth, but there was never any special about President Obama scheduled for Fox on a Sunday night (or any other night); similarly, internet claims that the president banned the special are also false-- since there was no special, he could not possibly ban it.
