he was accused of stealing a famous basketball player's tennis shoes. the shoes were given to the needy. Zero stole them, but when he was about to get caught, he threw them and the ended up in Stanley's hands. Stanley got caught and went to the camp.
It was Stanley's role model Clyde Livingston!
I'm not completely sure but this is what i think, PS: I'm reading the book and have watched the movie! Stanley:- Was accused of stealing a pair of trainers, it wasn't stanleys fault. The shoes had fell from an over head bridge and landed on him Zero:- Was the person who threw the shoes over the bridge and coinsidently landed on Stanley. The Police/court then found out that it was Zero's fault not Stanley's Twitch:- Stealing cars (Has an obbsession with this) I think some of them was manslaughter and shoplifting.

On the very same day that Stanley's father invented the cure for foot odor in the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar, he was robbed and a pair of shoes that Stanley was supposed to be delivering fell out of the sky and hit him on the head. This led to Stanley being wrongly convicted of a crime he didn't commit and sent to Camp Green Lake.
