Compress old files means that some files the windows system thinks you havnt accessed for a while (such as files in 'program files' or 'WINDOWS') gets compressed. this will not move the files to a 'zip' or '7zip' files. itll just be compressed in the folder it was in!!!!!!
no there is not . If it tells you cant move the files , it means you can't move the files , simple as that
if you use a PC you can select show hidden files and folders in tools-folder options-view and then ghostly shades of files will appear on the ipod after you click on it then you can copy them to another file and change them to normal instead of hidden so itunes can use it and then move the regular file to the itunes library file the file you copy is in ipod control-music then copy the files with drag and drop or you could just drag and drop into itunes folder by folder. if you use a mac it's the same, but to show hidden files and folders is through "terminal" in applications and typedefaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool true then type "killall Finder" without quotes and then do the other steps same as windows then you will want to re-hide folders and do that by reversing windows or typingdefaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool false then "killall Finder" without quotes and your doneBE SURE NOT TO SYNK UNTILL AFTER THIS IS DONE
