Its possible your new keys don't have a matching resistance value to the car. There are 15 different resistance values, and your local dealership can look up what the value should be if you can provide proof of ownership.

Cause its a camaro silly. You did not mention if it had a check engine light "on" or not. When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? Please provide more information so that you may receive a suitable answer.
Remove the steering wheel, the snap ring and plate, the signal light switch, and you will find the bolt that holds the lock cylinder

unhook the negative cable from battery for 10 minutes. Hook negative back up and turn ignition key to on position. Leave on for atleast 20 minutes or until security light goes off.
Could be the ignition module.
Your brake light ignition switch should be replaced. It works your brake lights and ignition switch, so you do need it. It only costs about $7 dollars.
