Worn out and old shock absorbers which causes the weight of the body to sit more on the struts making them take more hits while going over bumps, so the struts are taking more then they can handle. If your Lincoln is sagging at all in the rear or it boats(vehicle responds similar to a boat in waves, goes up and down softly) at all while driving your shocks are shot, try replacing them, it will stop the squeaking and drastically improve vehicle handling. One more thing, what could help just for now until you get them fixed, go into the on board dash menu and switch the ride control to firm, that will stiffen up the shocks a little to help the car from boating alot in the rear.
