Cook as in hot or cook as in bubble?
A hot battery is either faulty inside or being charged to quickly.
A bubbling battery is normal if it bubbling a little bit. The charging process will separate the water into Oxygen and Hydrogen causing bubbles and the electrolyte level to lower.

The charging system may be over charging the battery. Over charging the battery can speed up the evaporation process. Have the electrical system tested.
Apparently the alternator is bad or the battery is shot, take the car to autozone and get a free charging system check.
take the car to a repair shop and have them put a battery tester on it. it may be the alternator or the battery the tester will tell
