if your car is older with high mileage it could be just a malfunctioning dash bulb.
or the ABS may not be working properly.
only way to turn off an ABS light is to fix the problem in the brake system that originally turned the light on

It could be something as simple as a faulty or out of adjustment emergency brake switch. If that's not it, it could be the ABS. Often when the ABS fails the computer will turn on the emergency brake light.
The ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) light is on because the ABS module detects a problem with the system. The ABS light will remain on until the problem is fixed. Once fixed, the ABS light will reset itself.
By having the Anti-Lock Brake System, (ABS) repaired. The computer has detected a problem with the system.

You can pull the relay and/or fuse out and the light will go off. It will also disengage a faulty abs system.
The brake fluid level may need to be topped off. Otherwise if the light is still on after checking the fluid, the ABS system should be checked by a professional. Be sure to use the type of brake fluid recommended on the brake fluid cap.
Turn off the engine
1. Turn ignition off 2. Bridge the diagnostic socket 3. Press brake pedal 4. Turn ignition on 5. ABS light will go off after about 2 seconds. 6. After the light goes off release the brake pedal. 7. The light will then come on after about 4 seconds. 8. When the light comes on press the pedal again. 9. When the light goes off the release pedal. 10.
