Here's a side-note on how much iron is in your body. It may not sound like much, but it is.... There's enough iron in your body to make a 3-inch nail, weighing approximately 3 to 4 grams.
For a while when I accidentally tasted my blood either because of brushing my teeth too vigorously, or sucking my finger after a small cut- I couldn't taste the typical metallic flavor. Turns out I was extremely anemic.
My doctor soon had me on some iron supplements, and now I'm able to taste it again. That might be what's going on.
Blood has salt in it. Therefore it tastes salty.
Blood contains a lot of iron (which aids oxygen transportation), resulting in the metallic taste.
It is probably because Blood has Iron and Iron rusts. BTW how do you know what blood tastes like? How do you know how rust tastes?
when you eat it on metal plates, it happens to me but only if the food is hot and i eat it on a metal plate
Because it has a decent amount of salt in it.
It depends on the person (or animal). It can taste sort of metal-like from my experience. Blood cells contain iron in them to transport oxygen, this is the main reason most claim that blood tastes like metal (iron or copper).
The only meat I can think of that would taste like metal would be beef (or any kind of red meat, really). Red meat still contains blood when it's raw, and blood contains iron. If the meat is not well-done, the metal taste is likely from the iron in the blood.
it taste like metal
Yes. Yes it does. And like metal. But oh so good. I'm not a vampire!!!!!
A necklace. They constrict your throat, they glitter and if you lick them, they will taste of metal (the same taste as your blood.)
Well...Lead is just in our blood. When you have cut yourself with something and you start Bleeding and when you taste the blood you kind of taste this metal kind of thing in your blood
because of the iron in your blood.
embarrassment taste like metal right after a rain storm.
Well... if it is bleeding, it tastes like a really moldy piece of metal. Without blood, just flat out moldy!
No, they do not taste like chicken. They most likey taste like blood vessels.
It may be because you are becoming dehydrated and the chemical concentration of your saliva is changing. The taste of blood can mean you need minerals or have heavy metal toxicity.
