Why does dihydrocodeine show up on a drug test after taking hydrocodone?

This also has happened to me. I was taking Ibudone which is 10mg hydrocodone & 200mg ibuprofen. This was prescribed by my dentist and I am 100% positive that I did not take any Dihydrocodeine but I have tested positive for it. This case is currently in medical review.
If anyone can explain this please let us know.

No. it will show up as dihydrocodeine. dihydrocodeine breaks down into dihydromorphone which is usually not tested for, but i took a 12 panel test from the local drug store and it tested positive for opiates. ;(
