Driving faster uses more fuel for two reasons. First your engine is running at higher revolutions per minute, which uses more fuel. Second your car is encountering more air resistance the faster you go, which means your engine has to work harder and consume more fuel. Typically vehicles are most fuel efficient when well maintained and traveling at 45MPH, anything beyond that and air resistance multiplies exponentially.

Why do you need a scale on a map and how do you use it?

A scale on a map helps you understand the relationship between distances on the map and the actual distances on the ground. It allows you to make accurate measurements and estimates of distances when planning a journey or understanding the size of an area. To use it, simply match the scale on the map with a ruler or measuring tape to determine the actual distance on the ground.
