It might just not have fuel pressure built up by the time you engage the starter. Try turning on the ignition switch for a couple seconds before you engage the starter, see if that helps. Those engines are known for bad fuel pressure regulators, try replacing it Very easy on driver side of intake plenum held on by one clip and a vacuum hose
The most common reason for an engine not to start, on the first attempt, is a fuel pressure problem. The fuel injectors might need to be cleaned
it onley does that because its a Chevy but u should try new plugs
If a Chevy truck tries to start but then doesn't, it might be that the battery is low. Check the alternator also to make sure that battery is charging properly. Some larger motors require a larger cranking amp from the battery to start.
express 3500 chevy van tries to start but doesnt. when cranking stopped the engine rumbles. getting fuel can smell it.
Could be bad clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, bad coil or spark plugs
someone sabotaged your car. either that or you need to stop leaning on steering wheel to start the car. Try turning the key instead.
I have a 2005 Silverado that I'm installing a hitch on. I tried lowering the tire using the crank provided, and it only dropped a few inches. After a few tries, and a few choice words, I broke down and looked at the manual. Check out your owners manual for a description on how to remove your tire. I finally used my air ratchet, and unbolted the $@#!# thing, and removed the whole assembly, and threw it in the back of my truck. I may try some WD-40, or some other penetrating oil to free it up. I really don't want a spare tire sliding around in my truck bed.
fix it
turn the key? no start? check the battery connections. clean them make sure they are tight turn the key no start? turn on the headlights if you have bright headlights, the starter may be the issue. if you have no headlights, look at charging the battery after battery charge turn the key tries to start or clicks probably a dead battery if the car turns over and just won't start do you have gas? If the car turns over and tries to start that means the battery and starter are good now you need to find out why you are not either getting spark of fuel.
yes, Dally doesnt like rules, he tries to break them any way he can.
fuel filter, pump, pressure regulator? security sensor issue? The fuel pump may not be working, if the fuel pump relay (if installed), is bad
if it tries to start with out a keu when you hook up the jumper cables, you have a bad starter solenoid.
