It is impossible to explain why it takes less time, since in general it does NOT take less time. Anyone can surely recall many counterexamples, instances when it would have taken more time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong, to prove that the original statement is false. It MIGHT take less time to do a thing right in some instances, but that is not the question here. The original statement about it taking less time to do a thing right was made by H. W. Longfellow, generally thought of as being intelligent. His wisdom may be apparent in his statement, as we can guess what point he intended to make. However, the fact that he expressed his wisdom in a statement that is so obviously false sheds considerable doubt as to his intelligence. The same could be said of many other supposedly intelligent famous quotes. There are many possible reasons for chosing to do a thing right rather than to explain why you did it wrong, but how much time it takes is generally not one of them.

Do the right thing. If she is wrong, have the courage to tell her so and explain with all your love why she is wrong, and if she is right, don't try to prove her wrong and thank her for showing you what's right.

There is never a wrong time to do the right thing?

Technically there isn't. Even if it is late, the right thing can still be good. But, it is difficult because in life timing is everything. For example, in music the right notes played at the wrong time are still wrong notes. The same is true for life in general. Many times, the right thing at the wrong time can still be wrong.

Is the right thing good or bad?

Doing the right thing is good. But there is a difference in what you want to be the right thing and the actual right thing to do. Life is a fork in the road; you've always got to differentiate right from left and right from wrong.
