I have been told you need to watch the wire harness where the wires cross through the body to the door. The harness becomes damaged and may cause a short circuit. For whatever reason it may be grounding when doors are locked.
The Body Control Module (BCM) contols the locking and unlocking of all doors in the car.

Our Holden vp commodore sedans central locking will not unlock all four doors. The remote has a new battery and still doesnt work can you please help us
I am not sure. I have pressed the remote on my keys, but none of the car doors open. I have already had the battery replaced on the remote, which was flat, but when pressed, the doors still won't open. What do I do/
There is a fuse box on either end of the dash, you can't see them with the doors closed, and one under the hood (black box pass side).
I have a 1999 Chev Surburban. Yesterday I changed the battery and now every time I open one of the doors the theft alarm goes off. I've tried disconnecting the battery. locking all of the doors and opening them with a key. Nothing has worked yet. Anybody know the secret? thanks Ira
