Could be a vaccuum leak, or maybe an idle problem. Depending on what motor you have wether a v-8 or a straight 6. The straight 6 might have a idle stop solenoid that predetermines the idle, but the v-8 if original should have a series of adjustment screws and one on the throttle linkage that allows your to change the idle by tightening the screw, also check your timing along with idle changes to make sure its set properly. There should be a sticker with all the timing info on the core support or check online according to your motor size
my 94 camaro did that, check your gear pinions or put in a 3.73 aftermarket conversion. my 94 camaro did that, check your gear pinions or put in a 3.73 aftermarket conversion.
nope
what causes a boat motor 40 hp to stall when it is put in gear
Is your clutch bad or wearing out ?
190
it sounds like ur clutch went out in it.
The kick-stand switch or clutch lever switch have failed.
This is usually caused by a faulty seat safety switch.
torque converter or solenoid problem most likely if it runs out of gear ok.
The vehicle would stall when put in gear would be the fuel pump. The fuel pump is very weak which would explain why in neutral the vehicle starts if it gear it would have to have more gas.
Hey tom its a 1990 pontiact transport van and it starts out fine and as soon as the vehicle warms up it will stall it will start back up but when you put it in gear from park it stall again until cool?
It could be an issue with the torque converter.
