Check the TFI module. It is located on the distributor.
i have a 1988 Ford Bronco XLT 5.0 4x4. The truck will start and idle for about 15 to 30 seconds then acts like it has no fuel and dies.

I would check the idle air solenoid on the intake manifold
Check your TPS TPS = throttle position system
I wold check your automatic choke first.
Roughly 800 RPMS while in park and roughly 600 RPMS while in drive or reverse
Remove, clean, replace IAC (Idle Air Control).
