If it stalls out completely it sounds like fuel pump/filter. Another common problem for an older vehicle with a metal fuel tank is as the tank rusts, little pieces break off and block the fuel system.
If this is not the case its an electrical fault, something is breaking down under load e.g spark plug, leads, distributor, coil.
