On the shift console of an automatic Mazda millenia there is a small plastic cover to a hole near the gear shift lever. If you pull the tab off you can stick a screw driver (slim) into the hole and release the shift into neutral - any tow truck operator can show you how incase you have trouble.
When timing the timing belt you use the mark for top dead center on the crank. To do that you will have to do a few different steps.
the timing marks are both on the cam gears and the crank gear. According to the Chilton's book you line up "I" and the "E" respectivlly while at top dead center, when faceing the drivers side from the passages' side. that good for a 2.0 motor.
Possibly the crank sensor or the coil pack is dead. But with a dead crank sensor you also get no spark, no crank. No crank equals no fuel delivery.
If it is the 2.5l engine,it is probably the valve stem seals. They are notorius for drying out and cracking. On mine, after sitting over night,I would get a big puff of smoke when I put it in gear and accelerated away from a dead stop.
Security system is responding as if the car has been broken into (Which is why the radio is playing like it is dead) You will need to take it to the dealership to reset or replace the computer AND the radio.
the batterie is dead
Rotate the crank pulley at the bottom of the engine until the dimple is at top dead center. Use a second socket set to rotate the intake and exhaust cam sprockets so that the "I" (intake) is at the top dead center on the intake cam, and "E" (Exhaust) is at the top dead center of the exhaust cam. Place the timing belt on the engine. You may need a tool or helper to keep the crank pulley in place while you apply the timing belt. Test your placement by rotating the crank pulley two full rotations. Verify that the intake and exhaust cams return to the original positions - I and E at the top of the cam gears.
check the battery, its probably dead
Is it a problem of the battery goes dead or does it crank but not catch? If the battery is going dead over time perhaps you need to check the battery and/or alternator. If it's cranking but not starting, check the computer codes.
