2 thing's ambient temperature sensor malfunctioning if you have computer controlled a/c or heater a/c blend control actuator. I've seen both problems.
No. You will risk injuring yourself if the can of refrigerant blows up in your hand.
You are likely in an antarctic region.
You have a short in the circuit somewhere.
When my a/c system is low on refrigerant, it blows hot on drivers side, cold on passenger side of the dashboard. This is a 1997 Buick Ultra. Recharging the system solves the problem.
There is something wrong with the compressor or there is no refrigerant in the system. Have it checked out. Goodluck Joe
Possibly needs recharged with refrigerant. You can check low pressure side with a guage.
refill the a/c, it will blow hot air with no refrigerant in the vehicle.
That's usually an indication that the refrigerant level is low.
Your climate control in your 1998 Ford E250 Cargo Van blows cold air when in heat position and sometimes it blows warm air when in the cold position?
Move to somewhere cold or take it to a repair shop and have the leak fixed and the refrigerant recharged.
Make certain the compressor is running. If it's not running, have the refrigerant level tested.
it could be the heater core and ac housing unit that allows hot air to be mixed with the cold air or it could just cancel out the cold due to the motion of the car
