Check your temperature gauge. If it shows the engine is running in the normal range then there could be a problem with the "air door" that controls how much air is brought in through the heater core. Or the core itself is plugged and needs to be flushed out. If the guage shows the engine is running cold , then you should have the thermostat replaced.
Most of the Sunfire vehicles do not have a plug in for the cold. If a 2002 Sunfire had an aftermarket block heater installed, the cord for it would be located in the front bumper.
Cause its broke!
can you please clarify what you mean, do you mean that the front heater blows cold but the rear blows hot or do you mean that when the heating is on cold it blows hot? many thanks paul
check thermostat, might be stuck closed.
If the engine is getting up to normal temp, the heater core might be plugged. Heater core is not plugged and normal operating temp!
Is it an electrical cord that looks like it would plug into a standard AC outlet? If so, it's probably involved in keeping the car warm in cold weather. It could be a block heater, a battery heater or an oil dipstick heater. Some block heaters are mounted inline in one of the radiator hoses. When plugged in, it heats and circulates the coolant through the block. The battery heaters are essentially a small heating pad that sits beneath the battery.
Low coolant? Bad thermostat. Heater control cable most likely to be blocked heater core if blowing cold air! back flush heater pipes if this doesn't work heater core is a bad job to replace. dash out!
With the engine warmed up and running, open the hood and feel both heater hoses with your hand. They should both be hot. If one is hot and the other is cold or warm, the heater core is plugged. If they are both cold or warm the thermostat is stuck open or you are low on coolant.
No
Your heater will blow cold air only.
It is because your heater is having to heat up so its blowing cold air out while its heating up.This means your heater is not very efficient and it needs to be checked.
the blown head gasket would make it over heat. but it wouldn't cause the heater to blow cold, it should actually blow hot if that is wat happened
