My 93 model does it as well. I have to rev it up to 5500 rpm (near red line) to get it to shift from first to second the first time. Them it seems OK. It has been suggested to change the transmission modulator valve.
About 1.5hrs labor at the going rate, plus about 22usd for the belt itself.
if memory serves me, you are going to have to remove the crank pulley to get the cover off without breaking it.
The fuel filter is a black cylinder that has a rubber hose coming straight out the bottom and curved when going in the top. It is smaller than a soda can and is bolted to the wall furthest from the front fender under the hood and is in the vicinity of the batter.
Tracer ammunition are bullets that have a magnesium spot on the tail end of the bullet. This burns, usually red, and allows you to see exactly where the bullet is going. It's usually employed with belt-fed machine guns and is very effective at night. Typically, every fifth round in belted ammo is a tracer.
The Mercury Tracer is same model. The Ford Escort and the Ford Tempo are 2 completely different cars. The Ford Tempo's windshield is going to be too big for the Escort, if I'm not mistaken.
no
The Earth is not going to collide with Mercury. They both have stable orbits, and will stay millions of miles apart.

usually they bend, the pistons and crank keep going and the cam position of the valve timing changes. if jumps one or two notches they probly won't hit and bend, however of the belt brakes or jumps a lot of teeth they will hidt.;
