When you trun on the AC two things should happen, Your Compressor Pulley should engage and your radiator fan should turn on. This can be a few problems. One of the most common problems is that your AC compressor pulley is not engaging, this pulley had 3 small circles on it. When you activate your *AC* option, the compressor pulley should engage with the pulley that the belt is on. If not then you will not get AC, only your fan. Now does your AC feel fine when your moving but then suddenly warms up as you stop? If this happens then your condenser fan (or radiator fan) is not running. This is because heat is not being blown off the freon and it will not be very cold or cold at all when it enters your AC evaporator (where the air is cooled). In this case you should leave the AC off or else it can put the compressor under excess high pressure and can cause it to fail prematurely. The last problem is that you might simply be low on freon. If this is the case, make sure to have your AC checked for leaks before being recharged. Dave.
The 2001 Dodge Intrepid does not have a cabin air filter.
Bad blower resistor? Bad low speed relay? Bad switch?
Yes, but you need the computer and air conditioning parts from the 3.5
It does not have one
IT COULD BE THE THERMOSTAT, THE VEHICLE BEING LOW ON COOLANT, OR A MODE DOOR WITHIN THE DASH
No, a 1997 Dodge does not have a cabin filter.
