window regulator cable is broken need new regulator
probably window regulator
bad power window motor
The drive gear is broken in the window motor. Remove motor and install gear kit.
the motor and the switch both work but the window will not move
the gears in the power motor may be worn out. If you can hear the motor engage in the window unit but the window will not move up or down then problem is with the gears in the power window motor unit. Most want you to buy a whole new motor but you may go to www.ebay.com and bid on a gear kit for your power window motor (costs a whole lot less) Hope this helps Lis@
Because the window probably jumped the track or the track has become disconnected somehow. Pull the door panel off and you should easily be able to determine what it is and fix it. well the motor is connected with some belt or any other thing to move the window may be that belt got sliped from motor or broken due to this motor is running freely.
The cable has slipped off a guide or is broken. The regulator is toast. Replace it. Here's a post on how to do it.http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/replace-a-power-window-motor-regulator
It's the switch because the motor is getting power to go up but not down.
The regulator is shot. Replace the regulator.
Broken regulator. REplace it. Here's how:http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/replace-a-power-window-motor-regulator
Makr dure the motor is axtually th eproblem. More often than not, the nylon gear breajs or the three nylon spacers thas engage it with the motor. If you hear the motor running, but the window does not move or moves only from some positions, then it is probably not the motor
Windows won't operate, but motor "runs"Usually this is an indication that the mechanical connection between the motor and the window lifting mechanism has become disconnected. You will need to go "inside" the affected door, and find the defect to correct it.
