Why does my 87 trans am 350 tpi starts and stall will not run for over 4 seconds i put a new fuel pump in it the pressure is correct I'm lost?

if you haven't already then hook up fuel pressure tester to fuel line (buy pretty cheap or rent) it sounds to me like when eng. not running key on then start it runs out of gas after min pump cant keep up maybe bad pump barely pumping or plugged filter. That should be best tips to get you back on road.hope this helps Randall

If its a turbo car it will stall if the blow off valve is not shutting properly as the pressure drop is too much for the engine to keep turning, same with lpg when you idle the pressure in the engine drops and it will stall you can correct this by changing the timing
