if you haven't already then hook up fuel pressure tester to fuel line (buy pretty cheap or rent) it sounds to me like when eng. not running key on then start it runs out of gas after min pump cant keep up maybe bad pump barely pumping or plugged filter. That should be best tips to get you back on road.hope this helps Randall
If its a turbo car it will stall if the blow off valve is not shutting properly as the pressure drop is too much for the engine to keep turning, same with lpg when you idle the pressure in the engine drops and it will stall you can correct this by changing the timing
People have given all kinds of answers except the correct one. The most common reason for a stall is low oil pressure. The car has an oil pressure protection circuit that shuts down the motor when oil pressure gets below a certain level so that the bearings do not overheat. If the car stalls, then starts 10 to 15 minutes later, it is because the oil has cooled and thickened and has regained its pressure. Check the oil level. If you are 2 or more quarts low, the van will stall often as there are only 4.6 qts in the system and the protection circuit will kill the motor. Keep the oil at the correct level and this will not happen. The 1997 Caravan does NOT have an oil pressure protection circuit.
Possible weak fuel pump. The fuel pump will pump fuel to the engine, and if the engine's demands are greater than what the fuel pump can deliver, the motor will stall. Let it sit for a few seconds and the pressure builds back up. Turn the key, same cycle happens. The fuel pump needs to keep a certain pressure to the injectors. have a pressure test done to see if you have a fuel pressure problem.
This was originally my question. It ended up being the fuel pressure regulator.
camshaft sensor
A bad fuel pressure regulator will cause the car to stall or not run .
A modern car's gas tank is designed to have pressure in it. If it does not have pressure, the car could stall. That is one way to keep gasoline from evaporating into the atmosphere.
Cause Kias are Sh't cars
pressure relief valve isn't working properly
Yes, pony's is the correct singular possessive form.example: The pony's stall was very clean.
Hey tom its a 1990 pontiact transport van and it starts out fine and as soon as the vehicle warms up it will stall it will start back up but when you put it in gear from park it stall again until cool?
Dirty fuel filter. Get it changed.
