99 mazda b3000 where is the speed sensor located
Under the dash on the passenger side. It's on the very right. Note this is not where the manual said it is located. I have a 1999 B3000.
Look for information on 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0L as well. (Same vehichle.)

The fuel system is pressurized on fuel injected engines. If you were in an accident and the fuel pump still running, it could spray out fuel and feed a fire. The fuel reset switch detects a sudden jolt (hard!) and trips. You just reset it by pushing the button on top. On my 99 B3000, its on the firewall under the glovebox, and has a red top. HTH

The only fuel filter on the 1999 Protege is a "sock" on the fuel pump pickup tube inside the gas tank. The sock can't be replaced seperately from Mazda, you have to replace the fuel pump which does not include the sending unit.
use a compression tester you can buy one from any auto parts store for around 20 bucks ...I just had a burnt valve on my 1999 Mazda b3000
