The low side gauge more than likely says retard because you hooked the low side up on the high side port

What should be high side pressure in ac?

You need to specify what kind of system. Automotive AC systems and home AC systems use different refrigerants. That, along with the temperature/pressure relationship and ambient air temperature, all factor into what your high pressure (and, consequentially, low pressure) side should read on your manifold pressure gauge.

How do you check pressure on ac on 2008 f-350?

You need a manifold gauge set. You set up a fan in front of your vehicle. You hook up the manifold gauge set. You run the motor with the AC on max until the compressor clutch starts cycling, and you note the high and low pressures on both the high and low side. There should be a chart which comes with the manifold gauge set which gives you ambient air temperature and relative humidity, and what the corresponding pressures should be under those conditions.

How do you charge the AC on a 1991 Ford F-150?

Go to autozone and get a manifold vacuum ac gauge for R134a. Ofcoarse, also pick up a can of R134a. Hook up the gauges to the valves on the AC hoses. Add the refrigerant but watch the pressure on the gauge!! Any good manual will tell you the max pressure for the system.

I have chevy Malibu 2010 and recently i found that the gauge has dropped to the lowest point i was driving at 1 pm and AC was on and cold then suddenly the air from AC felt hot and gauge dropped why?

First, what gauge are you talking about? Is it a gauge in the vehicle, or did you hook up a manifold gauge set to the vehicle's schrader valves? And, if you did the latter, which side dropped? What it the vacuum or discharge side? And what did the opposite side read? Feel free to email me with more information on what exactly you're experiencing, if you should so wish to. My email address is located in my bio page, and hopefully we can get this thing sorted out.

How do you use an R134a Professional manifold gauge?

The R134a professional manifold gauge or gauges uses three hoses that each connect to the low and high ports of an AC system. The remaining hose connects to the can refrigerant. Use the gauges to check for leaks and see how refrigerant is need to refill the freon.

Would a bad radiator fan motor cause the ac not to cool?

It could affect it somewhat, but that's probably not the problem you're having with your AC. A system performance test with a manifold gauge set would narrow down the cause of your AC problem.

Where can you download a diagram to figure out what is wrong with your ac in your 2003 Mitsubishi galant?

You need more than a diagram. You'll need a manifold gauge set, and the know-how to determine what the numbers on the gauges are indicating is wrong with your AC system.

How determine normal suction pressure in ac unit?

You need a chart which identified the relationship between the ambient air temperature and the pressure, as well as a manifold gauge set.

1995 lincoln town car ac blowing warm?

There could be several reasons for this, and the question really does nothing to narrow it down. To narrow down the cause, I'd recommend you take your vehicle into a service center, and have them do an AC system performance test. Or, if you know how to do it yourself, read a manifold gauge set, and interpret what the pressure readings mean, you can do it yourself.

How do you know when the Nissan Xterra ac compressor is going bad?

You have a certified shop do a system performance test, unless you know how to perform such a test yourself with a manifold gauge set.

How do recharge the ac on a 2003 Chrysler Voyager?

Using a gauge and the proper type of freon, connect to the low side ac gauge. With the ac on high and the engine running fill the system to the full mark on the gauge.

Where is the low pressure port located on a 1999 dodge grand caravan and can you recharge ac yourself?

Its located on the suction line coming from the a/c compressor and yes you can recharge the a/c yourself as long as you are using a manifold gauge set so that you can read both the low and high side readings at the same time..................
