I assume that this is a petrol engined Mondeo The Mondeo's idle speed is controled by a sealed air system Most erattic idling problems are caused by an air leak somewhere in the system.
Kept happening on my own Mondeo. In the end removed the horn in the boot. Later found out it was the bonnet switch. Either replace it or give it a good going over with WD40. Worth a try.
NO
You, sir, are asking a very silly question. You see, in 1983 Ford actually created a new division, called Ford Europe. Ford Europe is credited with the creation of the Ford Mondeo (You would know this as the Contour here in America). The Mondeo was considered a world car, but due to its small size, did not catch on in America. AFter just a few short years Ford discontinued the Contour, however, the Mondeo, in Europe is still one of the highest sought after cars. It is undergoing its third face lift, and critics rave that it will take over the country and destroy civilization as we know it. Thanks for your time, DUMMY! Lemme ask you this question . . . If you can look up Wiki on the internet, and figure out how to post this stupid question, why can't you GOOGLE!
It really depends on the year model of the car. According to auto trader, the 2010 Ford Mondero is worth a little over 8000 euros but older year models can be less and of course newer models will be more.
it's best to replace it with a digital one that is if this is over 1998 car the computer has all the wiring you need just remember to take the - of the battery before you do anything
1 tires, 2 your alignment. But if your tires are a different size you will be all over the road.
Hi, I run a '93 4.0 litre xjs, so far no problems in this respect. However my '94 2.0 litre mondeo (78,000) family owned car had this problem, automatic as well. I replaced the air sensor unit/air flow unit, with genuine replacement and this cured the problem . For years whilst my father ran the car the engine would be idling like this. When the car was handed over I couldn't stand it and worked through a haynes manual quickly finding the fault. It was a big relielf and the ford part was 72 pounds. I hope this gives you some help. Regards Andrew.
Try adjusting the idling speed - sounds like idling speed is too low so when you take your foot off the gas it can't idle (Tick over)
Driver side left fender about 8 inches below and left under diagnostic connector if your standing over it. Its grey.
Squeezing a stress ball. At first, it may not seem like there is any effect. While you are just sitting or "idling" so to speak, work the ball in your hand and squeeze it. The muscles will grow over time.
Yes it is - only when idling and if I turn the heater on it cools down - thermostat?
Either by an electrical switch that heats a series of wires there or.....someone with a big seat just left there and you're lucky enough to get the warm left over.
