I have two of them and they are doing the very same thing.
The carb is somehow allowing the gas to leak into the oil.
When you start it up... does is smoke a lot?
I fixed the issue by putting a on off valve in the gas line. Open it up when you are using the mower and turn it off when not in use. Problem was solved. However do check the oil occasionally

i guess so if it runs and goes fast it must work
For small motor bike or lawn-mower or similar.
if it is petrol you might of ran out of petrol if not and its electrical then im not sure sorry
Buy a lawn mower engine repair manual at Border's or Barnes & Noble.

You did not specify which brand of 2-stroke lawn mower you have. So, the ratios may differ. For a Briggs & Stratten 2-stroke engine the ratio will be either 50:1 or 32:1 depending on the engine model. It is always advisable to check with the manufacturer's manual or on the internet.
