This sounds like an exhaust leak (which will only get worse with time).
starter.......if it makes a turn over noise than its the altanator
Many different things can cause a rattling noise in a Mazda tribute. Stark by checking the engine belts and all brackets for anything that could be loose and causing a rattle.
when warmed up high pitch noise at idle and it gets louder during acceleration Response to : Can someone actually answer this question? This is my question and the above answer makes no sense.
Could have a bad motor mount
Does it make noise when stopped and the engine running as well? If not, I'd check for a bad wheel bearing.
Certain types of tires may cause a brief humming noise after your initial acceleration. The transmission may also cause a brief humming noise.
Possibly the wheel bearing, if it makes a whiring noise when you accel. Or cv-axel, if it sounds like its grinding.
Sounds like a slipping alternator drive belt. Adjust in accordance with manufacturers instructions.
It is broken.
Is the humming noise happening all the time the brakes are applied? Does it change pitch as the car slows? Is it loudest just before stopping?
You need to replace your transmission. I had exactly the same problem; sounds like outer cv joints gone bad but only makes the noise in 1st and 2nd on accel. Some internal trans failure v common on 4cyl 626.
The noise can be comming from the weather stripping around the door, the wind passing past the antenna or from the wind around the luggage rack on acceleration.
