Why does my Pontiac transport shut off driving down the road like someone turned the key off and then turn back on like normal It also has the battery going dead but everything shows good It's like?

gsiefer- I had this problem. I replaced every sensor, even rebuilt the engine -mostly because it had 221K miles on it. 3800's are made to run 200K. But that's about it. The gaskets become junk on upper engine. With Proper oil changes the lower end will last. The problem was the computer. It had a short internally. I found a new computer on eBay and it runs like new.

Check the starter relay that is just behind the battery. The positive wire from the battery goes to it.
